Certification

The Iowa Sleep Disorders Center West Des Moines center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) since 2003. To obtain accreditation, our sleep center is required to meet certain criteria set forward by the AASM. A few of the criteria are as follows:
 
A Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine is required to be on staff and review all studies produced by the center.

Our center is required to adhere to evidence-based practice parameters ensuring excellence in testing and clinical care.

Our technicians are trained to monitor multiple physiological parameters during sleep studies and are able to recognize and respond to the medical needs of our patients.

Staff at the center must participate in continuing education, thus ensuring we have up-to-date information in the ever evolving field of sleep medicine.

Last, but not least, our facilities must be well-maintained and meet space requirements intended to protect the comfort and dignity of our patients.
